Smoking Cessation

Quit, Stop, with Hypnosis Smoking Cessation!

“Hypnosis is the most effective way of giving up smoking, according to the largest ever scientific comparison of ways of breaking the habit.”
- New Scientist (Vol. 136)

This comparison was published by Viswesvaran & Schmidt (1992), and looked at 633 studies covering 72,000 people. These results were measured at different follow-up periods, the minimum being 3 months after treatment, which then lead to the article in New Scientist.

Shockingly the study also found that only the onset of heart disease was more effective than hypnosis in persuading people to become non-smokers...

What Happens in a Session?

First we have a phone interview to assess your habit and motivation. If I don’t think your motivation is strong enough or if you have a lot of current stress in your life (for example a recent divorce) I will not recommend we proceed at that time as I don’t want you wasting your money and effort. Providing you are in right head space I’ll give you some ways to prepare to stop and we’ll meet a week later.

The actual session lasts approximately 2 hours – during that time we’ll review your habit and motivations in depth. I’ll then use a whole package of techniques to dismantle your habit—basically I’ll throw the book at it! And remember it only needs one of these techniques to work for you to stop. This session includes working deeply with your unconscious in hypnosis, giving you the skills, belief structure and deep inspiration to stop smoking immediately.

I’ll train you in the session to ensure that you have the skills you need to remain a non-smoker. I also give you several “last-resort” tools that you can use during challenging moments in the weeks following, including self-hypnosis CD’s and phone support.

"But I've tried to stop so many times!"

No problem. In fact there is good evidence to show that the number of failed attempts to stop smoking is a good predictor of final success. And as Henry ford once said "Failure is only the opportunity to begin again, only this time more wisely."

Treatment Cost

The cost of this treatment is based on the amount the average Australian Smoker spends on cigarettes in just one month, $500. What would you rather spend your money on each and every month of you’re the rest of your life?
